Drink Your Veggies by Getting Green
When I want to feel my best, I reevaluate my diet. And I usually find that I eat more grain-based carbs than I should be (yes, us gluten-free girls can get trapped eating a ton of carbs too!).
So, I go for the greens. I reach for fresh produce. And I rev up my juicer.
Getting Green Juice
4 cups of organic kale
4 stalks of organic celery
2 organic Granny Smith apples
2 Limes
Cut your kale, celery, and apples into chunks that can fit through your machine. Halve the limes and squeeze out the juice any which way you want. I like that my equipment has an option for citrus. Juice the kale, celery, and apples, running a quarter cup of ice cold filtered water through the juicer after each ingredient. Add lime juice to suit your acidic preference.
Garnish with crunchy, fresh pea shoots.
